Healthpass (Ox and CC) – HealthPass is a private insurance exchange offering members and businesses in the New York Metropolitan area flexible cost effective solutions for their healthcare needs. Since 1999, the HealthPass New York choice model has empowered employees to individually select their plans based upon their unique needs and budgets. A well-rounded menu of options is offered through industry leading carriers, with choices including health, dental, vision, life and disability coverage. Brokers, employers, employees and individuals benefit from the state of the art technology and extensive support provided by the HealthPass team including a streamlined administrative process, member-claims advocacy, COBRA Administration and the most knowledgeable client services team in the industry. At HealthPass we support employers empowering their employees to make their own health insurance decisions. After an employer sets a defined contribution (DC) amount, each employee chooses the plan that is right for their family's medical needs and budget. A robust menu of benefit options from leading industry carriers ensures everyone can access a plan that addresses their unique healthcare needs. Through HealthPass' partner carriers, our members are afforded greater access to doctors and hospitals than any individual insurer network of providers. With over 700,000 providers collectively participating in our networks, there is a greater opportunity for employees to choose a plan that covers their most important doctors and hospitals in the area – the ones they want to see. There is one enrollment form, one bill and one customer service line to answer your questions. And we take the burden off employers by handling your COBRA administration and providing a confidential advocacy resource to help employees with the questions you don’t need or want to be involved in – resolving claims, setting doctor appointments or handling complex issues and more. We keep it simple. And for the tech-savvy, you can now work with your broker to use the HealthPass Online Portal (HOP) to make enrolling and administering your plan even easier. The HOP allows for the initial setup of your group, enrollment by employees with the support of online decision making tools, in-year administration of benefits due to life changes, and an ability to renew your group upon completion of your plan year. Through the HealthPass choice model, employees pick plans that are right for their budget while the employer saves money by using a defined contribution approach. By using defined contribution, employers provide a fixed dollar amount toward their employees’ coverage. Employees can choose a plan that is covered by the employer's contribution amount or "buy up" to the medical or ancillary plans that fits their needs and budget. By utilizing the HealthPass choice model employers can better predict their health costs and employees get to select coverage that is right for them - a win- win for everyone!
